Due to the construction of the changing mat itself, it is important to provide the changing mat well padded for baby comfort and hence it would be difficult to produce a waterproof comfortable changing mat with welded seams that is waterproof. We do advise should an unwanted spillage occur to machine wash the changing mat at a cold wash and to dry naturally should this be required without affecting the construction of the mat.
